MARCHING BANDS APPLICATION

Applications are Now Open for the 2026 & 2027 National Veterans Parade!

The National Veterans Parade Foundation recognizes the success of any parade depends on the marching bands to entertain the spectators as well as helping keep pace of a parade.

I’m sure you will agree that Washington DC remains the perfect venue to march in the heart of the Capital City, and our National Mall. A march along Constitution Avenue to celebrate and recognize such an important National Holiday is that perfect venue!

To further the experience for high school marching bands, we also recognize that Veterans Day Weekend is the ideal time of the year for High School Bands to show off their just completed field show program. Our experienced team has created a wonderful (and optional for those in the Parade) opportunity to show their Parade and Field Show skills, along with partnering with major vendors and sponsors to create a full experience in an affordable atmosphere. We’re happy to work with your chosen tour professional to include our Festival Experience into your itinerary. Please feel free to contact us for more information, as well as any assistance with your Application. We pledge to review each one as we receive it, and also pledge to make your National Veterans Parade Festival weekend a highlight of your students marching band participation! 

Tentative Schedule of Events:
Saturday, November 7th 2026
10:00 AM to 4:00 PM National Field Show on the National Mall.

As part of our Festival Program, your Band will perform on the Washington Monument Grounds across from the WWII Memorial for a  custom compilation video of the Field Show and Parade performance for each band.

Sunday, November 8th 2026
Your Band staging will warm up with the backdrop of the Capital for a great opportunity for a Band Photo!

Starting at Noon on Constitution Avenue, stepping off in front of the National Archives, thousands of spectators and a live viewing audience will see your Band March up our National Parade Route!

All Participating Festival Bands receive plenty of Official Festival Swag, including shirts, hats, pins, and more, including your own custom produced video of both days performances.

Marching Band Application

There are Many Ways to Apply:

As the Group Leader/Director in section 2 and undersigned below, I understand and agree to the following:

All materials submitted on this application, as well as any other requested materials are the property of The National Veterans Parade Foundation, and any of its assignees. I understand and agree that any media content, including network television, on line and other audio and video content, is not guaranteed to include my above group, and any content that may include my group, may be reproduced for the expressed use of The National Veterans Parade Foundation, and it’s assignees.

I also understand and agree that there is no fee to apply to the National Veterans Parade. I do further understand and agree that the above group is to contract with their chosen tour professional holding professional liability insurance for all logistics, accommodations, and other tour and travel costs, and provide to the Foundation a Certificate of Insurance naming the above group as well as the The National Veterans Parade Foundation. Any donations solicited by the Group or their representatives are to be made to the Foundation, and not used for or paid for goods or services from outside vendors. Acceptance of, and extending of a written Invitation to the above group would be in accordance with a “Festival Only” agreement either directly to the group above, or their chosen tour professional. Promotional items and their costs such as Official NVP shirt, collector pin, and Parade staffing would be contingent on official acceptance of Invitation to March. Any and all additional costs will be outlined and accepted by the above Group’s Representative in an Event Agreement.

No Exceptions will be honored.

JEEPS REGISTRATION

Registration for Jeep Participants is Open for the 2026 National Veterans Parade

Jeeps Historic, CJ Series, MJ/YJ/TJ/LJ/JL

Registration is open until the field is full.

As part of our official Jeep Owners Parade Participation, we welcome Veterans and non Veteran Jeep Owners in a show of support! As an individual Jeep Owner, or part of a Jeep Club, you will get a chance to show your support in front of thousands as you ride along the Official Parade Route from 7th to 17th street and Constitution Avenue.

On Parade Day, each Jeep will receive the Official National Veterans Parade Flag and Collectors Vehicle Medallion as part of your registration and donation of $75.00 or more. If you should choose to welcome a Veteran who are unable to march to ride along, we would appreciate it!

Donate to the National Veterans Parade Foundation
A $75.00 or more donation benefitting National Veterans Parade Foundation for every Jeep entry is required. This partially covers additional insurance, spectator barriers, Veterans passenger staging and show expenses. After you’ve made your donation, you’ll receive a link via email.

OTHER INFO

Staging Area information will be sent weeks in advance with your permit credentials.
Parade begins at noon, all numbered entries order of Parade TBA.
9:30 -10:30am staging entrance on Independence Avenue at 7th street.
If you are part of a group, you will need to arrive together to be in the same staging group.

Any additional flags or signage need to be approved. NO POLITICALLY AFFILIATED FLAGS are permitted.

Staging route, entry credentials, and directions provided after registration approval of each vehicle entered.

Jeep Participants’ Registration Form

Jeep Show and Go at the National Veterans Parade.

Participation includes 2 steps:

Fill out the Registration Form Below
Once your registration form has been completed, you’ll be directed to our step 2. 

2.
Donate to the National Veterans Parade Foundation

A $75.00 or more donation benefitting National Veterans Parade Foundation for every Jeep entry is required. This partially covers additional insurance, spectator barriers, Veterans passenger staging and show expenses.
 
On Parade Day, each Jeep Registered will receive the Collectors Vehicle Medallion and  Official National Veterans Parade Flag. Fly it with pride along with Old Glory on the Parade Route!
 
Any additional flags or signage need to be approved. NO POLITICALLY AFFILIATED FLAGS are permitted.

Once your application form has been completed, you’ll be contacted via your contact information submitted.

Your Application form will be reviewed, additional information may be requested, and a notification will be sent to you if accepted. This form is for application to participate, and does not constitute an automatic invitation. An invitation to be in the Parade will be sent to each approved unit.

This Parade is funded through private donations via our 501c3 non profit Foundation, and to assist in our long term goal of making this National Parade for our Veterans continue long after we are gone, we welcome you to donate, as well as help with outreach to any sponsor. Any and all military units need not and may not donate. We thank all of our loyal supporters, no matter the level of tax deductable donation!

Parade begins at noon, all numbered entries order of Parade TBA.
10:00 AM staging begins, with all entered units arriving via Independence Avenue at 7th Street. Metro Police and Parade Marshals will check for each entrant to have permit to be sent to each unit.
Staging route, entry credentials, and directions provided after registration approval of each vehicle entered.
