National Veterans Parade Foundation Announces Give Back Program with $5,000 Grant to AMVETS

Warrenton, VA – April 2, 2026 – The National Veterans Parade Foundation proudly announced the launch of its Give Back Program during the Combat Coffee Club luncheon, held in conjunction with the Grand Opening of the Puller Veterans Care Center (PVCC) in Warrenton, Virginia.

Hosted by Gold Star Mothers, Inc. and catered by Mission 22 BBQ, the event brought together veterans, supporters, and community leaders to celebrate a significant milestone in veteran care. During the luncheon, the Foundation’s Executive Director, Francis Ventura, presented a $5,000 grant check to AMVETS National President Paul Shipley, marking the inaugural contribution of the Give Back Program.

“It was a great honor to be part of the Grand Opening of the Puller Veterans Care Center and to recognize AMVETS for their decades of unwavering support to our nation’s veterans,” said Ventura.

The Puller Veterans Care Center is named after Lewis Burwell “Chesty” Puller, the most decorated Marine in U.S. history. This state-funded, 128-bed skilled nursing facility represents a new standard in veteran care, offering a state-of-the-art, home-like environment designed to support dignity, comfort, and community.

Located on the historic site of Vint Hill Farms Station in Fauquier County (once a United States Army and National Security Agency installation), the property played a pivotal role during World War II, including intercepting communications that contributed to the success of the D-Day invasion.

Today, the facility continues that legacy of service by providing top-quality care to Virginia’s veterans. The center features private rooms organized into household-style neighborhoods surrounding a central community hub, fostering both independence and connection.

AMVETS, an organization with more than 80 years of service to veterans, has been a proud participant in the National Veterans Parade since its inception in 2022.

Now entering its fourth year, the National Veterans Parade will take place on Sunday, November 8, 2026, at 12:00 PM in Washington, D.C. The parade marches along Constitution Avenue, from the National Archives to the White House, and stands as the first national parade dedicated to honoring all men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

Participation in the parade remains free for all veterans and veteran service organizations. The Foundation warmly welcomes veterans from across the country to join in this national tribute.
